Starring Bengali actress, ‘Mishti’ and ‘Akash Vani’ fame Kartik Tiwari as lead pair, the film is about a young woman’s fight for the justice and against corruption.
While director and producer, Subhash Ghai is coming back after a long time on silver screen with ‘Kaanchi’, the film’s shooting locales possess a dark contrast with his previous ‘Taal.’
What seems from the trailer and stills are the similar hilly backgrounds, a small town beautiful girl as protagonist and then her voyage of establishing herself; all intricately weaved in with romance and surely the enchanted music.
Indrani Chakraborty, who is a prominent name in Bengal film industry, has adopted ‘Mishti’ as her screen name to debut in Bollywood and even her look in the film seems to be inspired from that of beauty queen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Taal.’
If one notices, one can surely find that striking resemblance of those curly hair, speaking eyes and the similar innocent persona that ‘Mansi’ aka Aishwarya Rai had in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Taal.’
Well, ‘Kaanchi’ is surely being anticipated a lot and generating raving media buzz, let’s see if this newbie can get the similar stardom and praise that Aishwarya got from ‘Taal!’
The film’s music is being composed by Salim and Sulaiman and Ismail Darbar. ‘Kaanchi’ is slated to release this year.
