Strange Is The Life, Honey!

Penned By B D Narayankar

For the first time
when I saw you
at Bangalore Palace
some three years back
My heart,
clipped on its wings
flew
where the night was young
on its dreamy thread

When I peeped into your (Beloved) eyes
I felt
I got another chance to live life
but I hadn't thought
these eyes of mine
would thirst
after my own tears

You haven't been kind to me
O life,
each day you authored
something sweet, mostly sour
and whatever you decreed
I  lived it faithfully

I wish
you come and wipe the darkness
of my night,
Darling!

Show Me The Way, Honey!

Penned By B D Narayankar

I am at the crossroads
gazing at the roads

One is always complaining
it spreads its leg,
snores all day;
another wanders into a barren land;
one is tired
yet keeps on walking
on an endless journey

The one that goes through
the branches of solitude
is stale, silent
Yet another winds into
scalding wilderness

I am at the crossroads,
My Love,
gazing at numerous roads

One morning,
or my be one evening
you will come,
hold my hand
and point to me;
this is where we have to go

Tell me, Honey!

Poem: Wipro Musings On Diwali Day

Penned By B D Narayankar

Sitting pensive
in the office today
My mind mused
over the Wipro ambiance -
that Diwali Day

The rains outside trickled down
making the universe wet;
leaving everything heavier,
everything cooler

Looking at you
attired in Mogul breeches -
From the wet feelings
in the heart
to the soaking wet
thoughts
Only the slow fragrant
fire of my breath
burnt,
keeping your heart warm
in contrast to the evening
gone cold outside

The Parting At The Marriots

Penned By Narayankar

The melting love
from
your seductive eyes
drips
drop by drop on my heart.

As I wait for the final drop
to cool my searing desires off
I realise
in a while from now
you would depart,
declaring
the victory of the night

For,
when the night comes
your memory
rakes my wounds up,
declaring the defeat of the day
I spent in your presence

Poem: Is Anything Worth Than Your Face, Honey

Penned By B D Narayankar

I collected the fragrance of the moon;
Scooped the scented stick;
Filled the ink of the night;
and crunched them
in my pen to describe
your beauty

If I can get your picture perfect
of your face,
I can go to sleep
in peace,
My Love

Poem: February Sighs

Penned By B D Narayankar

Cast these sighs away
for fatal pills live
in sighs like these;
one such sigh
killed Marilyn Monroe

Breathe all your sighs
on my lips,
My Love
I am immune to poison!

Poem: I Am At Home As Always, Honey!

Deeksha Seth

Penned By B D Narayankar

I spent the day
searching for you
in every corner of the city,
but with no success
Listless, sad
I wrapped the panting evening
with a sheet of darkness
and threw it away in the golden dust

I walked back to my house
on the lonely street
The moment I entered my room
A pic of yours placed
in between the pages
of a book said
with a smile:
Where were you, darling?
Don't find me
here, there
I am at home
as always,
just flip and I am
there for you

Note: Desperation stumped me to pen this piece - it had been eight months since IPL auction in Feb 2014 had seen her ....
