Tell Me Who Am I?

Penned By B D Narayankar

This night when you came and knocked on my heart
I was still asleep and was dark outside
This was no time to wake up and meet you, my love
I tried blocking you with my palm placing on my chest
And yet you made your way through
Probably I did that in the drowsy state of affairs
Frustrated I banged you while half asleep
And, turning my back, sank deep into bed.

Perhaps you felt offended
In anger, you stomped my heart
And yet you returned, knocking at my heart the following night
Tell me moon splenderous - who am I? What I mean to you, tell me
