Bangalore, March 25 (PTI) JDS has decided to field former
Chief Minister H D Kumraswamy in Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha
constituency to take on Union Oil Minister M Veerappa Moily.
"H D Kumaraswamy will file his nomination at Chikkaballapur tomorrow," said a JDS statement.
Kumraswamy is aiming at gaining hold in a new turf, where
Vokkaligas, to which he belongs, are a dominant community.
The former CM quit as MP of Bangalore Rural after winning
from Ramanagaram in the assembly polls. In the by-poll, his
wife Anita Kumaraswamy lost to Congress's DK Suresh.
AAP, who has listed both Moily and Kumaraswamy in
Arvind Kejriwal's list of most corrupt, has fielded a
retired CRPF DIG Arkesh for the seat.
